I’ve been taking summer classes

Long time no write! I actually am taking some summer classes right now and it’s very demanding. I don’t have any time to write but I’ll post my progress pictures.  My 30th birthday was about a week ago and I’m happy with my results so far, but I’m not done yet!!

Breakfast today I’m having a light English muffin with egg, muenster cheese, and tomato. I paired that( like wine lol) with some of my favorite herbal coffee: Teeccino! I drink this stuff every morning! 

Good morning!

Well I tried to upload my exercises from the last couple of days but, like I said in a previous post, I don’t have internet or good service where I live. I may have to go to the library to upload videos. 
Anyways, I started my morning off with some over medium eggs, a small home grown red potato, half of a portobello mushroom, chia seed pudding with cherries, and last but not least my “coffee”!


I found this “coffee” at Natural Grocers. I’m so happy to have found it because I have been drinking Cafix in the morning and I wanted to try something new. It doesn’t have any caffeine or acid in it, so it’s good for the tummy! I bought two bags.
You brew it just like regular coffee, which I love! It gives you the feel of making coffee at home like everyone else, except this coffee is not actual coffee, but it tastes like coffee to me. 

My morning!

Breakfast

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 sliced shiitake mushrooms
  • One slice of goat cheese
  • Drizzle of sesame oil
  • Whole wheat English muffin
  • Half avocado
  • A medium banana

I started by heating up my sesame oil and while that was getting hot I sliced up my mushrooms. I added those in the pan, stirring to evenly coat the mushrooms. Now I only used a tiny bit of oil. Just enough to give that delicious sesame flavor. 

When my mushrooms are cooked I scoot them to the top of the pan. I then add in my two eggs and give them a good swirling in the pan. Why dirty another dish to mix them up in? 

While my eggs are cooking I put my English muffins in the toaster and cut my avocado in half. 

Once the eggs are cooked most of the way I go ahead and mix the mushrooms in and then break up my slice of goat cheese on top and mix that until it’s nice and melty. 

Get my English muffin out of the toaster and spread my avocado on each slice with a pinch of salt on top and tada!!!! Breakfast is served. 

Usually during the week when I wake up at 4am for work I just make two eggs and either a whole wheat English muffin or Thomas’ double protein oatmeal with cinnamon English muffin with peanut butter.  I’m not much for cinnamon but the taste is so light that it doesn’t bother me and it tastes great with peanut butter! 
My plans for the day- btw it’s leg day!

  3. Go for a run as my cardio 
  4. Weight train
  5. Lunch
  6. Do some gardening
  7. See where the day takes me

Adidas Avenue A subscription box!

I got my Adidas subscription box and I recorded it on Snapchat as I opened it. My mom bought this for me and I am so happy with the products that came in it this quarter! 

I also received one last year that I really loved as well. They seem to be consistently amazing boxes. It’s a great deal too! I will definitely be styling in my next blog post because I’m working out in this whole outfit today!! I’m super excited!

I skipped two days!

Well the last two days  I spent the days with my boyfriend. One day was a rest day and one day was back and abs. So it looks like today I’ll be doing shoulders, back, and abs after work! That’s ok thought, it was worth it. As long as I can make it up I won’t feel so guilty about it! 😁

I’ll update my post tomorrow with workout videos. I can only do it at work since we don’t have internet at home! I know, who the heck doesn’t have internet? Well, we live in the sticks and nothing is offered except satellite internet and that’s way too expensive and it’s a two year contract. So I use my works wifi!

Yesterday’s chest workout

Well it’s getting closer to my 30th birthday. I can definitely see some changes in my back and my arm muscles for sure. And I just bought some new pants and they are already kind of baggy around my waist. I will have to use the belt that came with them. I hate belts. I feel like abs take more time to notice. 
Well here is my workout I did yesterday. 
I recorded one full set of reps for each exercise I did. I am not a personal trainer yet I am just sharing what has been working for me.

I’ve been super busy at work. I’ve been working most weekends 12 hour days and I haven’t been working out on those days.  It’s too difficult with the hours that I work. But I’m switching to part time soon and I’m going to be going to class. Here are some videos from the last few weeks. Let me know what exercises you do!

I did 50 each of the raises with 2lb dumbbells. 

Legs and chest

We skipped leg day because I had to work 12 hours at work! Yay. So we just did both legs and chest the next day to stay on track. 


Look what I found at GNC! This stuff is super delicious! I put it on my double protein English muffin in the morning or at night for a snack. They have a few other flavors too. Kind of pricey at $7, but it’s good.

I did a little meal prep for the next few days. Three different flavors of cubes up chicken: ranch powder, lemon pepper, and sriracha. It’s nice to make different flavors so you don’t get burnt out on chicken. 
Here’s a few clips of our exercises. Feel free to comment on how to use the best form and what not. We need to invest in some heavier plates too. But just to get used to the moves we are keeping it light for now.

Don’t you hate it when your hair tie gets in the way? I had to take it down for the chest press.
