I’ve been taking summer classes

Long time no write! I actually am taking some summer classes right now and it’s very demanding. I don’t have any time to write but I’ll post my progress pictures.  My 30th birthday was about a week ago and I’m happy with my results so far, but I’m not done yet!!

Breakfast today I’m having a light English muffin with egg, muenster cheese, and tomato. I paired that( like wine lol) with some of my favorite herbal coffee: Teeccino! I drink this stuff every morning! 

I skipped two days!

Well the last two days  I spent the days with my boyfriend. One day was a rest day and one day was back and abs. So it looks like today I’ll be doing shoulders, back, and abs after work! That’s ok thought, it was worth it. As long as I can make it up I won’t feel so guilty about it! 😁

I’ll update my post tomorrow with workout videos. I can only do it at work since we don’t have internet at home! I know, who the heck doesn’t have internet? Well, we live in the sticks and nothing is offered except satellite internet and that’s way too expensive and it’s a two year contract. So I use my works wifi!

Yesterday’s chest workout

Well it’s getting closer to my 30th birthday. I can definitely see some changes in my back and my arm muscles for sure. And I just bought some new pants and they are already kind of baggy around my waist. I will have to use the belt that came with them. I hate belts. I feel like abs take more time to notice. 
Well here is my workout I did yesterday. 
I recorded one full set of reps for each exercise I did. I am not a personal trainer yet I am just sharing what has been working for me.

I’ve been super busy at work. I’ve been working most weekends 12 hour days and I haven’t been working out on those days.  It’s too difficult with the hours that I work. But I’m switching to part time soon and I’m going to be going to class. Here are some videos from the last few weeks. Let me know what exercises you do!

Legs and chest

We skipped leg day because I had to work 12 hours at work! Yay. So we just did both legs and chest the next day to stay on track. 


Look what I found at GNC! This stuff is super delicious! I put it on my double protein English muffin in the morning or at night for a snack. They have a few other flavors too. Kind of pricey at $7, but it’s good.

I did a little meal prep for the next few days. Three different flavors of cubes up chicken: ranch powder, lemon pepper, and sriracha. It’s nice to make different flavors so you don’t get burnt out on chicken. 
Here’s a few clips of our exercises. Feel free to comment on how to use the best form and what not. We need to invest in some heavier plates too. But just to get used to the moves we are keeping it light for now.

We bought some goodies..

Alright so working out has been on hold while we have been putting together our two new exercise toys.  One is a power tower and one is a weight bench with the pulling stuff and barbell stuff. Idk the name of it yet.  It’s taken a few days to put together just because our room is so small. If you watch my Snapchat then you know our struggle. 
We finally finished it yesterday so today we can actually use it. I’ll try to get some better pictures of it up soon. ​In the mean time, here are some store shots with some video of us putting it together.

Yesterday grr

Well yesterday at work was so freaking busy? Are you ever so busy you don’t take your two breaks and then your boss tells you to take a 30 minutes lunch instead of an hour? Well that was my day. Plus I had to stay late. FML. 
I wouldn’t have minded it as much, but my boyfriend and I planned to drive to Fort Worth for a little getaway. We still drove down but we were later than we wanted. 

We didn’t get to do legs day yesterday but we are going to do it today with whatever is planned for today as well. Even if we skip a day we will make it up the next day. I don’t want to get into bad habits of skipping days. 
We plan on going to Ikea to! Yay. Who doesn’t like IKEA?  We will shop and earn some steps for our Fitbit !πŸ˜‚ Hit two birds with one stone as they say.

I’ll be 30 soon…

Alright I’m not the best at updating this blog but let me tell you what’s been going on. 
I started doing some strength training and then I got sick. I was sick for over two weeks. At first it was a cold then it turned into a sinus infection and then the start of bronchitis. Ahh. Why me? 
Ok so now I’m better and I have been thinking about how I am about to be the BIG 30. I guess 30 is not that big but I’m going to feel sad not being in my 20s anymore. I feel old. 
I want to be fit and toned by the time my 30th birthday comes around. Kind of like a birthday gift to myself. I mean, what better gift to give myself than good help and physical fitness right?
If you would like to join in and get in shape I’d love to stay in touch on here or Snapchat. I’ll be using Snapchat as my main video source of what I’m doing as far as working out. I may throw a bit of Instagram on there too. Who knows how adventurous I will be with my social media skills.

Today is the day

Alright. We haven’t worked out in a long time, but today we are going to start weight training again. It’s been almost a year since I hurt my back really bad and I feel like I can train again. We have gained fat like crazy and I feel super weak, but as long as I buckle down and start eating right and working out every day I will be able to get back to where I was a year ago. 
Now that I have unlimited data I can actually use phone now without having to watch my data. Yay.

Back from our 40 day road trip!

Welcome to my very first blog post !Yippee Skip!

Alright, I guess I should start off by saying that we just moved back from Oklahoma from Honolulu, Hawaii in June. Surprisingly, We did not like living in Hawaii! It’s a great place to visit and all, but living there is expensive and …….well it’s expensive!

As soon as we got back to mainland we knew we had to go on a road trip before we started working again, since it’s been two years since I’ve been to mainland. We drove from Oklahoma City to Chicago and up through Minnesota(beautiful up there). We then drove up to Thunder Bay in Canada. We drove to Banff National Park, then down to Utah, Denver, New Mexico and then back home to OKC. We camped along the way and stayed in a few hotels. It was definitely what we needed from being stuck on an island for two years. If anyone wants more information about our road trip please let me know and I can get into further detail in a later post.

Why does our vacation have so much to do with getting fit? Well I gained some fat eating a lot of junk food on the road!!! We really tried not to, but we were in Canada and they have so much yummy food that we don’t have here in the states, plus it was our big vacation!!! We all do that though don’t we? We want to try new foods and experience different cultures when on vacation. All that matters is that when we get back from our fairy tale vacation, to get back to it and exercise!

So for the last few days I have been working out every day. I was trying to decide on doing a Beachbody program or a 5 day split strength training with free weights that I’ve done before. Since I haven’t worked out in a while, I am doing some Blogilates on Youtube to get my muscles used to working out and a few strength training exercises. And let me tell you, I am still extremely sore from the blogilates oblique day I just did. For real, I could barely get out of bed it was so sore. And that was 3 days ago!!!
